Fifteen years of 30 for 30 and a conversation with Matt Barnes

We celebrated fifteen years of ESPN’s 30 for 30 with panelists Monica McNutt, Johnathan Hock, Felipe Lopez and Marsha Cooke discussing its impact and legacy throughout the years. This was followed by a conversation on the athlete podcast landscape, where NBA veteran and co-host of the All The Smoke podcast, Matt Barnes, discussed his time with Kobe and what brought him to LA in a conversation with Trae Young and Omari Hardwick.

Honoring Filmmaking Excellence with Athlete’s Choice Awards

We marked the festival's first-ever celebration of excellence in filmmaking with honoring our official short selections with an awards ceremony. Selected by the Uninterrupted Film Festival Athlete Selection committee (consisting of LeBron James, Naomi Osaka and Joel Embiid), the final eight shorts were selected from over 190+ submissions. The SpringHill Company CEO, Maverick Carter, gave out the awards with the Athlete’s Choice Award going to Moving Mountains, directed by Jessa Williams, and the Audience Award to Equal Play, directed by Lily Ahree Siegel.

Pete Rose reveals his bid for MLB reinstatement

Attendees caught the world premiere of Charlie Hustle & The Matter of Pete Rose, a documentary showing the former player as he embarks on a new bid for reinstatement in the MLB and a place in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. After the screening, Al Michaels, Director Mark Monroe, and Pete Rose himself joined a dynamic Q&A session that offered further insights into the documentary and the controversial figure at its center.
