Over 50 Years After H.R. Pufnstuf, Sid and Marty Kroffts Receive Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Television legends and brother team Sid and Marty Krofft received the well deserved 2,687th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.

Sid, 90 years young and his little brother, 82, Marty, began their television career with Hanna Barbera's The Banana Splits in 1968 and a year later began their over 50 years production career with H.R. Pufnstuf. Additional popular superheros stories include
The 70s The Bugaloos, 1971 Lidsville, 1973-75 Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, 1974-76 Land of the Lost, 1975 The Lost Saucer,
1976 Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, 1976-78 Wonderbug. They worked on the 1984 Pryor's Place starring funny man Richard Pryor and D.C. Follies, puppets with an over the stop take on politics.

Sid and H.R. Pufnstuff

The brothers have been honoroed with an Emmy Award: Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 anda TV Land Award: Pop Culture Award and their first award in
2002 with the Saturn Award: Life Career Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films

Guest speakers include Maureen McCormick, Susan Olsen and Christopher Knight from The Brady Brunch, Beverly D'Angelo and Greg Garcia.

Sid and Marty's star is located at 6201 Hollywood Blvd. in front of the Funko Store.
